No matter what I try, I cannot get it to generate assessment criteria without it saying its unable to generate. I even copied the same wording from the video and it still will not work. Any tips?!
Hi David,
Thank you for your email. I’m sorry to hear that you’re finding this difficult. Could you please let me know which assessment criteria you’re struggling with? Are you using the AI function to generate the criteria? Have you tried using the Excel template? Just delete the content in the example and replace it with your own. Here’s the link to the template: www.Rhythmstix.co.uk/support.
To help you further, I recommend watching our introduction video: Introducing Assessify. This video walks you through the key steps, such as creating a class list, generating assessment criteria, and completing your assessments.
Here’s a quick summary of the process covered in the video:
1. Creating a Class List: Before producing your first assessment, you need to create a class list. You can import your class data from an Excel CSV file, or manually add student names using a specific format.
2. Generating Assessment Criteria: You can use the AI button to generate criteria, or import your criteria from an Excel spreadsheet. This allows you to create differentiated assessment criteria efficiently.
3. Completing Assessments and Creating Reports: After setting up your criteria and class list, you can start assessing. The video also demonstrates how to use features like Focus mode and group assignments to streamline the process.
If you still need assistance, feel free to email me at Assessify@rhythmstix.co.uk, and I can guide you through this on a Zoom call.
I’m currently away, but I will create a few videos on my iPad to support you further and post them on the forum.
All the best,

I'm having the same problem - really want to love this app but every wording I try for 'generate assessment criteria' brings up the same error message; '

Hi Rachel,
I’m really sorry this hasn’t worked for you. OpenAI has changed their models, and consequently, the assessment criteria AI element isn’t working at the moment. However, it will be fixed shortly. The rest of the app is working perfectly, and to be honest, creating the assessment criteria and making it personal is incredibly important to ensure that the AI reports are both personal and precise.

This issue with generating the assessment criteria has been fixed, and the app is now working—many thanks for your patience. I’m pleased that so many of you are using Assessify and that it’s supporting you with your assessment and reports. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
